ICBC Final Round Weekend

This year, ICBC executive is happy to announce we are making a large step towards modernizing the “ICBC Preliminary Round”, formerly the Inter-University Round.  Case submissions will be shorter, and will no longer require sending in a hard copy, as submissions will now be done online. This change was made to help ease the marking process, and to make the submission process more sustainable, less costly, and less stressful for our valued competitors.  Additional new process and rules will be described in further detail in future documents.

Please also note that the Final Weekend will once again be taking place on the weekend prior to the beginning of the winter semester at many universities, January 6-8, 2011. This date will help ensure the continued growth of the competition and further experience improvement for judges, competitors, spectators and observers.

Thank you to those whose feedback has been instrumental in helping to modernize the Preliminary Round for ICBC 2011.  Thank you also to those who continue to support ICBC year after year.  Your passion and drive continue to improve the competition.

The 2011 competitor package will be posted on the website shortly; and if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact either of the co-chairpersons, Matt Zaffino and Doug Reeves, at cochair@icbconline.ca or the University Liaison, Kelly Damp, at liasion@icbconline.ca. We hope to see you at Final Weekend!

Regards,

Matt Zaffino & Doug Reeves
