Letter From the Co-Chairs
Dear I.C.B.C. 2014 Competitors,
Welcome to the 36th annual Inter-Collegiate Business Competition! The I.C.B.C. executive is very excited to be bringing the competition to new heights. This year, our vision for the competition is to increase value for all I.C.B.C. stakeholders. Some of the initiatives to fulfill this vision for our competitors include a more transparent preliminary round, a simpler application process for the continuing International Invitational round, as well as changes in venues and logistics during Final Weekend. For our sponsors, we have been working hard to create opportunities for more targeted and personal networking with competitors, volunteers, and executive members. Last year, several aspects of Final Weekend were remodeled to modernize the competition. While keeping the same format as last year, we are working to avoid areas of the competition which may have posed problems in the past. This includes issues such as the formatting for PowerPoint presentations, as well as judges’ feedback sessions.

The Final Weekend will once again be taking place on the weekend prior to the beginning of the winter semester at many universities, January 2nd – 4th, 2014. These dates will help ensure the continued growth of the competition and enhance the experience for judges, competitors, spectators, and observers.
