Ken SmithKen has been a strategy consultant for the past 23 years, earlier with McKinsey & Company and now with SECOR, Canada’s largest independent strategy firm. Ken’s work is focused on restructuring industries and issues of business policy and related public policy, serving leading Canadian and international companies. Ken is a recognized authority on industry restructuring and has he written extensively on shareholder value creation in mergers and acquisitions, and on global competitiveness in M&A. He is also an accredited corporate director, a frequent author on governance matters related to strategy and risk oversight, and he chairs the Ontario Chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors. Founded in Montreal in 1975, SECOR is now the largest Canadian strategy consultancy, with offices in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal, as well as international offices in the US, Europe and Asia. Ken holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from York University, and a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Mathematics and an MBA from the University of Toronto. He also holds an ICD.D and is a proud Queen’s Parent! |
