Why Sponsor I.C.B.C.?

Whether you are a returning sponsor or are considering partnering with the Inter-Collegiate Business Competition for the first time, let us work with you to determine whether this opportunity is right for you.

The I.C.B.C. 2010 Executive does not simply consider corporate sponsorship as a financial contribution towards the final weekend - it views it as an opportunity to build upon or establish a long-term partnership with an organization. Without the generous contribution of our benefactors, I.C.B.C. would not be the renowned and prestigious competition it is today.

Participation in the competition has led many employers to meet their future employees and establish connections that have led to genuine friendships and business partnerships over the years. Building on this, the 2010 Executive has focused on further increasing interaction between sponsor representatives and competitors in addition to adding new sponsorship opportunities that directly target students interested in the organization's discipline.

Essentially a partnership with I.C.B.C. allows you the following:

National & International Exposure.
This past year, the Inter-University Preliminary Round was the most vigorous yet with 138 case submissions from twenty-eight participating schools, including 4 teams from Asia. As we continue to garner increasing support and interest internationally, this number is expected to only increase in the coming years. Below, you can see a geographical breakdown of the 102 competitors during the Final Round of the competition in January 2008. It is clear that through sponsorship, your organization is guaranteed exposure beyond our provincial and national borders. Based on figures over the last eight years, on average, a third of the competitors are in their third year while the remaining are in their fourth year– the ideal candidates for summer and full-time recruiting. In addition, through an extensive screening process, sixty Queen’s Commerce volunteers are selected to aid in execution of the Final Weekend. They also eagerly await the opportunity to meet you, the sponsors, and learn more about the opportunities at your organization.

Your organization is given the opportunity to interact with and evaluate tomorrow's leaders and future members of your firm. Your organization will also be generously highlighted in all promotional materials relevant to your level of sponsorship.

Develop a long-term relationship with the Queen's School of Business.
By participating in I.C.B.C. you are not limited to the competitors of the final weekend. Sixty enthusiastic and passionate Queen's Commerce students volunteer their time to the execution of the final weekend and the opportunity to meet you, our esteemed sponsor representatives. In addition, you are able to network with countless Queen's faculty, administration and alumni.
